She is stronger than she looks.
The grace she so freely gives
is her strength – not her weakness.
She likes her laugh because it feels contagious.
She is always genuine, perhaps to a fault.
She feels like a thread in a tapestry,
weaving in and out of people’s lives;
she touches so many.
Beautiful, unique designs,
woven with threads that don’t make sense,
yet perfectly fit.
She knows how to love well, to love deeply.
Though often terrified
she can’t help but jump in.
When she smiles, her entire face opens.
When she cries, it’s with her whole body.
If she loves you, she’ll move mountains for you.
When you hurt her, she’ll forgive you,
but only betray her once because
there won’t be a chance for a third time.
She’s in or she’s out;
she’s not interested in games.
She loves fully and passionately and deeply
and expects the same of you.
When her heart breaks, it breaks completely.
She’s a 1 or a 10 and rarely in between.
She has more best friends than she can count on one hand
and loves them all fiercely.
She is kind and patient,
though sometimes her excitement gets ahead of her;
then she apologizes for speaking too quickly and hurting you.
She knows there is more to a person than meets the eye
and she’s willing to listen
until you find your voice.
If you know her, be kind to her.
If you care for her, care for her deeply.
Above all, in all things, promise to love her well.
For she will love you
to the moon and back,
through sorrow and joy,
until she is spent or
you won’t let her anymore.
Luke 6:38
Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.
